Area Manager: Operations 

JOB SUMMARY
Oversees and coordinates all aspects of physical plant operations and assigned maintenance within assigned school buildings, with a primary focus on enforcing safety protocols and ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards. Leads the planning and scheduling of custodial work, including routine services, backup coverage, and specialized project cleaning, to ensure consistent building cleanliness, operational efficiency, and quality work outcomes. Supervises and develops building service teams and contractors by setting clear performance expectations, providing regular coaching, and conducting formal evaluations. Implements team development through ongoing training, mentoring, and corrective guidance to build staff capacity and improve service delivery. Ensures custodial teams have the necessary technical support, functional equipment, and adequate supplies to perform assigned tasks effectively. Monitors work processes and drives continuous improvement initiatives, applying quality assurance measures to maintain established custodial standards. Serves as the primary liaison between School Administration, Facility Engineers, Chiefs, Lead Custodians, Custodians, and the central Facilities Operations team to coordinate resources, resolve operational challenges, and maintain a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
