 Teacher: Secondary Itinerant

Job Details - This position is an itinerant teacher who will teach in schools at the direction of the coordinator with input from building principals.

 

JOB SUMMARY
Implements identified courses in grades 6 - 12 in both in-person and virtual, broadcast and/or asynchronous; format is at the direction of the coordinator. Courses may provide instruction to students at one or more buildings based on system needs. Supports student learning through the implementation of district curriculum aligned to state and national standards. Delivers culturally responsive instruction which includes research-based strategies, differentiation, and best practices outlined at the District and Office level. Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students. Monitors and evaluates student achievement through teacher or district assessments, developing and implementing plans to improve student performance. Maintains required records and adheres to district procedures and practices. Provides the leadership, expertise, and policy support to ensure that approved courses are implemented with fidelity, supporting students as they improve their understanding and proficiency to reach their full academic potential. Supports schools in a variety of instructional strategies, collaborative planning, data analysis, and assists in appropriate technology implementation in instruction.
