JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing and reporting staff and student performance data for school improvement planning. Shares data with Principals and Network Assistant Superintendents, Coordinators, Executive Staff, and the Superintendent. Provides expert guidance and training professional learning to schools central office staff to increase capacity for data analysis and interpretation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives and analyzes student level assessment data and ensures that data is available in the electronic data systems in a timely manner.
  • Implements and supports platforms to manage state-required data, local assessments/benchmarks, and Teacher & Principal Evaluation (TPE).
  • Provides and presents school and student data to Teachers, Principals, Coordinators, Network Assistant Superintendents, Executive Staff, and Cabinet with an emphasis on school improvement planning.
  • Works with the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment division and the Technology Department to ensure coherence among data collection, analysis, and reports to manage and share county-wide assessment results for efficient use of formative and summative assessments.
  • Assists with data queries, data requests, and preparation of data displays from schools, central office, and the public.
  • Conducts in-service training and workshops for schools as needed on topics related to platforms and the use of data (e.g., educational accountability, test selection and construction, item analysis and test revision) and for ing student achievement data via instructional data systems and software applications such as: Performance Matters, Microsoft Excel, and Analytics and Insights, and Unified Talent.
  • Interacts with instructional administrative staff to facilitate the flow of data between schools and central office for use in instructional and administrative decision-making.
  • Manages and trains staff on the use of various instructional data systems.
  • Provides data support to the Division of Instruction and School Performance.
  • Assists central office committees in developing cultures of inquiry around data analysis in the development of school and system improvement plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Master's Degree in education, research computer science, statistics or related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required;
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Experience

  • Ten (10) years successful professional experience compiling, analyzing, and reporting complex statistical data in an educational or administrative capacity required; and
  • Seven (7) years management experience required;
  • Experience in a public school environment required.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.

  • Daily access to reliable transportation.
