JOB SUMMARY Provides the instruction to students by following instructional plans, and materials and presenting them using instructional techniques which meet the needs of all students. Provides and atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of students. Supervises students in a variety of school-related settings and activities. Follows, required procedures and practices.
Daily Assignment Pay Rates:
Teacher:
Associates or non-Degree =$112.50 full-day/$56.25?half-day Bachelor’s Degree or Higher=$125 full day/$62.50 half-day
For a Teacher Assistant:
All levels of education = $100 full day/$50 half-day
Long-term Assignment & Extended Assignment Pay Rates:
For a Teacher:
$155 full day/$77.50 half-day
For a Teacher Assistant:
$110 full day/$55?half-day
*Long Term assignment temp substitute works for one teacher/position for at least 11 consecutive days.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow lesson plans, assignments, and instructional materials.
- Maintains order and discipline in the classroom conducive to effective learning and takes all necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Creates a classroom environment that provides for student involvement in the learning process.
- Enables each student to achieve learning objectives.
- Monitors and evaluates student performance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

Education
- Number of College Credit Hours (if applicable) 48 credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university required.

- Ability to effectively communicate with diverse communities and develop outreach strategies to encourage parental involvement in student learning.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse parents/guardians with varied communication styles, levels of skill and experience to support their child’s education experience.
- Ability to employ a variety of teaching styles to respond to the needs of diverse learners.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite -Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint preferred).
