Senior Engineer: Facilities

Job Details: Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center is the site of AACPS’s environmental education program. Responsible for the maintenance and management of indoor and outdoor classroom spaces on a 24 acre campus that includes waterfront, woods, covered pavilions, trails, outdoor pool, various indoor classrooms and cabins. Significant time is spent working in the outdoors in all weather conditions. Knowledge and operation of various grounds equipment including tractor, chain saw, mowers, snow removal and woodworking equipment

 

JOB SUMMARY
Operates the boiler(s) and maintains a variety of mechanical equipment such as heating, ventilating and/or air-conditioning apparatus at an assigned secondary school facility. Responsible for maintaining sanitary, security, and safety standards through planning and overseeing the general cleaning and operation of the facility. Based on assigned location, driving may be required to accomplish specific tasks at that location.
